Saturday's Rugby matches resulted as follow:—'Varsity A .0, Southern 3;; Kaikorai 29, Pirates 9; Alhambra 3, Zingari 0: 'Varsity B 15, Dunedin 6; Union'lO, Taieri NELSON, 26th May. ■ There were perfect weather conditions to-day for the football matches. Pirates gained a last-minute victory against Waimea by 6 points to 3, when Bowers kicked a penalty goal. Best scored an unconverted try. The score for Waimeu consisted of a penalty kicked by Cross. Nelson defeated Old Boys by-6 points to 3.
