During the past three days conditions have been dominated by a rather intense cyclone, oiieratlug in the Tusman Sea. Its centre liar, moved slowly southwards from tho northern T.isman Sea, and by 9 a.m. to-day \vas situated about 400 miles wost of Cape Egmont. Ilaln was falling on Saturday morning only in the northern and east coast districts of tho North Island, but unsettled weather-had extended to most districts liy Sunday, and general rains have since been reported, some heay falls occurring In many parts.
