As an indication of the popularity of choral contests in England, a programme just to hand from AVest iSussox Festival, held last March, shows that 57 adult and 30 school choirs competed—a. total of 2053 competitors. • Entries for llic Wellington testival close on 26th1 June, and' the syllabus may be obtained from any music store or from the secretary, P.O.
