. NGAROMA CLUB The annual report and balance-sheet of the Ngaroma Croquet Club shows the past season to be the most successful in the club's history. The members regret exceedingly losing their two "top" players, namely, Mesdames Tregear and Hope, who are removing to Auckland and • Christchurch respectively. The membership now stands at 50 (active and honorary). Social afternoons for members and friends are being held in the club's pavilion during the winter months. The following officers were elected for the forthcoming season at the annual meeting:—Patron, Mr. M'KenzTe (re-elect-ed); president, Mrs. Laurie '(re-elected); vice-presidents, Mesdames Mathews, Coles, and Morris; hon. vice-presidents, Mesdames Bowles and Wright, Messrs. Coles, Cotton, Donovan, Gower, and Hancock; lion, secretary, Mrs. Bennett; hon. treasurer, Mrs. Wadsworth.; captain, Mrs. Lippitt; general committee, Mesdames Gower, Franks, Finch, M'Kelyie, Fairley, Packard, and Wilkinson; advisory board, Messrs. Cotton, Laurie, and M'Pherson; green committee, Mesdames Bennett, Franks, "and "Wadsworth; tea committee, Mesdames Finch and M'Ketvie; auditor, Mr. Longman (re-elected); delegates to association, Mesdames Bennett and Gower.
