THE Board of Health has received from -*■_ the AVellington City Council an application for a requisition under Section 22 of the Health Act, 1920, requiring the City Council to provide certain water and drainage works and storm water drainage works in the following localities at a total estimated cost of £100,000: Highland Park, AVilton road, Northland, Highbury and Taitville, Brooklyn and Fitchettown, Vogeltown and Mornington, Island Bay, Melrose, Miramar, and Seatoun. Section 24 of the Act provides that money for works so required may be raised without a. poll of the Ratepayers. The Board of Health has appointed the Hon. AY. H. Triggs, M.L.C. (who will act as Chairman), Lady Luke, Mr, F. W. MacLeau, and Dr. AY. Young a Committee to inquire into the application and report thereon to the Board.
