RONCOTAI COLLEGE
. 'An enthusiastic meeting" of the Kongotai College Parents' Association was held last evening at Tuia Hall, Kilbirnie. This body has been very active during the past few' mouths with socials and lectures, and is trying to organise its resources and loyally help the principal of the college in which they are so much interested. On this occasion competitions were arranged by Mr. Keith and a small sub-committee, and the concert programme by Mr. Wilson. Messrs. Clement May, W. Goudie, D. Anderson, and W. B. Brown, Master Bowman, and Miss Potter gave a delightful programme.- Mr. W. Gutheridge and Miss Whyte ably accompanied the artists. The secretary, Mr. N, R. Jacobsen, gave a lecturette on the aims and objects ,pf such an association.
A film dealing with the life of Martin Luther, produced in Berlin for the first time, has called forth a vigorous protest from the spiritual leaders of the half-mil-lion Roman Catholics, who are included among the population of Greater Berlin. The Cogan Street Hebrew Synagogue, Hull, has been closed by Rabbi Schwartz, who, after being in charge of the; Synagogue lor five years, has learned for the first time that bodies of Christians are buried in. the, vaults beneath Vm building. __ _^
