TILDEN OUT OF SINGLES
Australian Press Association. NEW YORK,-23rd May. From Kansas City it is stated that for the first time' since the United States won the Davis Cup from Australia, America will engage in the contest without drafting Tilden for the singles. The latter decided himself, as captain of the team, to play only in the doubles against China on Saturday next. Tilden decided upon 6. Lott and J. Hennessy, the latter meeting Lunn and the former meeting Kong.
