ARTCRAFT THEATRE.
The feature film1 at. tho Artcraft Theatre tonight will be "Whispering Wires," starring Anita Stewart. It Is based on the noted stage success of the same name, which thrilled Broadway, for almost ,a year. The stage play was considered by Press andspublic as one of tho finest ever presented on tho American stage. Pre-vlew critics have pronounced the film version even better, owing to tho virtually unlimited scope of the camera. , Many scenes not possible on the stage have been incorporated In the screen version. Anita Stewart has tho role of Doris Stockbridgc, daughter of a broker, who is assassinated by telephone in a mansion of horrors. Tho role of the broker's daughter was just to her liking, as Miss Stewart is rated as one of tho best financiers In Him land.
