Properties, Ltd., from dealing in any manner with Lot,s of Civic Square leases until a further order of thc.Cim.rt, was. grantedby Mr. Justice Blair in: the 1 Supreme Court yesterday: Lot 3 is'-th'B~se"fei'ion"at the corner of "Wellcsley'." ancFv .Qtiecti' streets, and is part of a block" on which' it is proposed to erect a palatial theatre and a score of shops. Tho application for the injunction was made by K. V. Vialoux, acting for Mr. NoTt.hcroft, on behalf of a syndicate comprising N. B. Speuccr, E. W. Yates, L. W. Swan, and others. ' . ■ The leases were mentioned at the hearing of tho City Council last" evening, when ' the l Finance . "Gomn'rittee. brought forward a'reconimen-datibn ti'.at a tender submitted by Messrs. Inder and Metcalfo for the remainder of tho sections involved in the theatre project should be accepted. Messrs. Inder and Metcalfo had previously informed the council that if the tender were accepted their clients intended -to exercise an. Baildon, said'that in view of the letter received by the council that evening it would bo advisable to refer the recommendation back to the committee, and this course was agreed to.
