HOTEL LICENSEE FINED

A fine of £,'2O was imposed by Mr. \E. Pago, S.M., to-day on Thomas Hannafin, licensee of t'ne Brunswick Hotel, who admitted bottling whisky in a bottle from which the original label had not been removed. Appearing for the defendant, Mr. W. Perry said that thir offcn.ee was the result of a mistake on tlie part of a ecjlarman. There was no suggestion of any intention to defraud or that the quality of the liquor actually bottled was inferior to that suggested by the label. Mr. P. S. K. Macassey appeared for tho informant.
