INTEREST IN BRITAIN SIR AUSTEN ANSWERS QUERY British Official Wireless. RUGBY, 23rd May. The Foreign Secretary was asked in Parliament to-day whether his attention had been called to the accident at Hamburg, where a tank containing fluid for the manufacture of poison gas exploded, and whether, in view of the terms of the Treaty of "Versailles, it was proposed to mako representations to the German Government on the subject. . . Sir Austen Chamberlain replied that he had received no information except what had appeared in tho Press, and he was not in a position to say whether -there were any grounds for representations to the German Government. He was taking steps to get further infor--1 mation.
