FORECAST.
The following forecast was issued at 9 a.m. to-day for tho ensuing 24 hours:— Winds—Moderate to strong south to east winds, reaching gale force in places between Kaikoura and East Cape. Barometers-Little movement. Seas—Rough in Cook Strait and on the east coast north of Akaroa; elsewhere moderate. Tides —Good on tlio east coast; poor on the west coast south of Cape Farewell; moderate thence northwards. Weather—Unsettled and showery from Canterbury northwards, but mainly in districts with an easterly aspect; somo heavy falls' on parts of tho coast; cold temperatures, with many frosts inland. Thursday, 24th May, 1925.
