EFFECT OF DEPRESSION (By Telegraph .—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, 23rd May. Tho Auckland office of tho Kauri Timber Co. has received tiie following cable message from head ofiice, Melbourne: "Directors regret to have to report that in consequence of continued depression in trade, precluding full-time working at mills, the profits for six months ended 29th February barely covered expenses, and under these circumstances they do not feel warranted in paying interim dividend."
