WAIKATO MARKETS.
The Termers' Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Hamilton, reports the beef market continues firm for prime ox and cow beef, with every prospect of a further advance in the near future. Fat sheep yardings have been fair for both ewe and wether mutton, with a further advance in values. The indications point to a short supply during winter. A firm demand exists for all classes of stores and ewes in lamb. The difficulty at present is to meet inquiries. High prices, have been received for good quality Jerseys in calf heifers, chiefly going to outside districts. Large offerings of fat pigs have been coming forward and meeting with keen competition at prices equal to 7'/_d per lb. There is a fair inquiry for large stores, weaners and slips being, dull of sale.
