UNSETTLED
RAIN AND MIST ■Pressure variations have been slight since Thursday morning. A weak anticyclone has been located east of New Zealand, and a shallow cyclone has been stationary over tho Tasman Sea. The weather, has been very unsettled, cloudy, and misty, and rain has fallen in all parts of New Zealand. The winds have been variable, moderate northerlics to westerlies predominating. The forecast is for northerly winds north of Greymouth and Akaroa, chiefly moderate, but fresh to strong in Cook Strait, backing to south, or south-west-erly later and increasing, elsewhere moderate to strong south-easterlies. Tho barometer shows little movement in 1 the north, but should rise everywhere | shortly. Tho weather will probably continuo dull, misty and unsettled, with further general rain, but improving | later on the west coast of the South Island, and it will be colder.
