Palmerston North's Municipal Bus Fleet The Palmerston North ratepayers showed great wisdom some years ago in voting out trams and installing a municipal bus service which is giving very satisfactory results, and another new "International" has just been added to the fleet as illustrated above. On making enquiries from the Municipal Authorities it is learned that the Number 1 International $us, which has been in continuous use for the past three years, has done 75,000 miles, and the only repair parts required amount to approximately £8, and the benzine consumption is exceedingly good, averaging 16 miles to the gallon. This remarkable performance, together with the service and parts which are always available, if required, was sufficient to convince the Palmerston North. Borough Council that another International ,was the best possible investment'from the ratepayers' point of view. This new machine is of a larger capacity than the "International" previously installed. The body construction work, and upholstery, which! is of real leather, the general workmanship and beautifully finished appearance reflects the greatest credit on Messrs. G. P. Alder & Co., the well-known Motor Body Builders of Palmerston North, and the complete machine is a great •' i credit to the municipal fleet. It is -also interesting to note .that of the first six buses purchased by t!ie New' Zealand Government on the Wellington-Hutt Road, four of these were Internationals with a seating capacity of 30 passengers each.

World-wide Popularity —and with the best of reasons. It is based on a century-old reputation for purity and maturity, both positively guaranteed. The concave bottle —pint or quart size — has if anything enhanced this popularity. You'll find it much easier to handle and the hip pocket just takes the pint size.
