BISHOP AND CANON
DISPUTE IN WAIKATO DIOCESE (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. Canon Harvio has been suspended by Bishop Chorrington, of Waikato, from the position of canon of St. Peter's Cathedral. Canon Harvie states that he felt it his fluty to oppose tho Bishop, but declines to disclose tho nature of the dispute Canon Harvie retains the offieo of diocesan secretary. He was for ten years vicar at St. Mary's, New Plymouth. Ho came to Hamilton on tho formation of the now Waikato Diocese. The Bishop declines to make a statement at present.
