T. Mackey, of 12, Gear street, Petono, a labourer, was knocked down by a mo-tor-ear on Thorndon quay at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Ho was taken to the Public Hospital by tho City Ambulance, and was admitted suffering from a fracture of tho }eft log. He was reported this morning to be progressing favourably.
