LAUNCH DISABLED
RESCUED FROM THE ROCKS A breakdown in her engines on Saturday night while on her way back from Palljser Bay to tho boat harbour resulted in tho motor-launch Thistle, owned by Mr. Rogors, drifting on to tho leo shoro at Point Halswoll. A strong northerly wind blowing at tho tinio helped to carry tho launch into tho shoro, and heavy seas began to break over her. A telephone message was sent to the harbourmaster (Captain J. Dawson), notifying him of the mishap, and the doputy-harbourmaster (Captain J, Spenco) wont out to the scene of the accident in the launch Uta. A line was passed to the disabled launch, and she was then towed to Queen's Wharf, arriving at a quarter past nine. No serious damage was done beyond the rudder carrying away.
