SOME GOOD TENNIS

The 'Varsity matches, in connection with the tournament, at the Ihorndon courts on Saturday provided some gooa tennis. Two fine games were the semifinals in the men's singles championship between A. C. Stedman (Auckland) and F. R. Chisholm (Otttgo), and K. A. North (Auckland) and R. ML. Fcrkins (Victoria College). Chisholm, who won the championship last year, went down to Stedman 8-6, 6-3, and I'erkins defeated North. The final between Stedman and Ferkins should be a great struggle.
