REVOLT IN RUMANIA
THREAT BY PEASANT PARTY GOVERNMENT FEARS United Service. (Received 9th April, 2.30 p.m.) ' BERLIN, Bth April. - According to the "Vossiscbe Zev ■ tung," tho National Peasants' .Part? '■' in Rumania has planned a revolt against the Government, and threatens to proclaim an independent Government at ■ Karlstadt. The leader, AI. Mauiu, has summoned a party congress. It is, expected that 300,000 peasants will send ; delegates, and tho resignation of M. Bratianu will be demanded. The Government fears to forbid the congress,, because it would .be necessary to usetho army, which refuses to be employed for political purposes.
