OBJECTION TO FOOD
(By Telegraph.) ; (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. James Meeks, aged 40, was charged in tho Magistrate's Court yesterday with assault. It' was explained that Mceks, who was a ship's fireman, was dissatisfied with the food served aboard tho ship and complained to Captain Alexander M'Kenzie, to whom he exhibited a dishful of food on tho bridge. "I cat'that," the prosecution quoted the captain as having replied. Meeks had retorted, "Well, eat that!" and bo saying, he had tipped the dish and food over the captain's head. The Magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, remanded accused until to-day for sentence.
