TITAHI BAY ASSOCIATION

The annual meeting of the Titahi Bay Progressive Association took place on Saturday. There was a good attendance. In referring to the work of the past year, the president (Mr. Will Appleton) stated that there were now sixty-one financial members, arid that during the year a good deal of work had been done. A large number of trees had been planted around the foreshore, and the-efforts of the association were now commencing to bear fruit. Several deputations had waited, on the Makara County Council, which had been' most-helpful. The main road had been considerably improved, a new water supply for the beach had been arranged for, and new conveniences had been provided at each end of the beach. Thanks were due to a number- of local residents for a considerable amount of voluntary work, especially to. Messrs.
