That cheery band of entertainer!!, "Tho Royal. Australian Sunbeams," .opened their .Welling^, ton season to-day at the" Paramount Theatre. All the acts are new and strikingly original. Tho costumes aro brightly coloured and Ingenu-* ously designed; thoy give charming ballet, eU fects. The dash and finish with .which the. Items are carried out is a fine tribute to the skill and patience of tho youthful company's talented directress, Miss Crissle Royal. Opening to a rollicking chorus of "Hullo, New-Zealand,"* in which the awcet voices of the full company are heard to distinct advantage, the. road is paved for the entry of Jackie Clarke, in, "No Wonder I'm Happy," supported by Baby Do-* reen. Then come the Acrobatic Sunbeams, headed by Thehna Forest and Gwen Jones, the latter known as the "Bouncing Sunbeam." They perform amazing feats in: acrobatics. JeanWhite then ni.'V-s her appearance in her "Dance Fantasique," a feature of tho programme. The Doll Ballet, headed by Baby Doreen, Is another number which causes amazement. Another Item is the sweet singing of' Harry Ussher, a boy soprano of exceptional range and quality. "The Royal: Sunbeams" ap-. pear in conjunction with a strong comedy picture programme, Including Leatrico Joy and Tom Moore in "The Clinging Vine." It i 3 brilliant, amusing, entertaining, and refreshing. H. Gladstone Hill will conduct his Orchestra Paramount In special Incidental music, and will Include "Tho Belle of New York" for the overture, and "The Scottish Patrol" entr'acte.
