LODGE MEETINGS

' On 11th January Wildey Lodge, No. 107, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its 132 nd fortnightly meeting, Bro. Brown, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance, visitors including Bio. Carter (Blenheim Lodge) and Bro. West (Southern Cross Lodge). Two new members were proposed for membership. Business being concluded the lodge went into harmony. The fortnightly meeting of Southern Cross Lodge, No. 24, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held last week, Bro. W. J. Jarvis, P.G., presiding over a moderate attendance. One candidate was nominated. Visitors included the N.G. and ofiicers of Zealandia Lodge and C.l. Bro. H. Dames, P.G., I.P.D.D.G.M. At the close of the meeting dancing and community singing were indulged in, many Rebekah members and friends being present. A feature of the evening was the screening of several oldtime gongs which were sung by the gathering, under the leadership of Bro. A. jU'ilahon. For the singing and dancing Bro. R. Muir proved himself a capable pianist. Bro. Jarvis acted as M.C., and the supper arrangements were in the hands of Bros. E. Miller and E. C. Andrews. Court Lady Glasgow, No. 8261, A.0.F., held its fortnightly meeting last week, C.R. Sister A. Morris presiding over a fair muster. The secretary, Sister M. E. Hoy, presented the balance-sheet, showing the court to be in a sound financial position. P.C.K. Bro. Griffiths, of Court Sir George Bowen, assisted in the installation of the new officers for the ensuing term, as follows:—C.R., Sister D. Smith; S.C.R., Sister V. Smith; secretary, Sister M. E. Hoy; treasurer, Sister A. Tester; S.W., Sister E. Bryant; J.W., Sister F. Smith; J. 8., Sister M. Marshall. P.C.R. Sister A. Tester presented Sister A. Morris with a Foresters emblem and neck ribbon, and congratulated her on being the fourth sister of the family to receive the honour of a P.C.R. Sister Morris suitably replied. Bro. Griffiths also made a very interesting speech on various subjects.
