ONE THOUSAND KUXS To the select band of players who have compiled four-figure aggregates in Plunket Shield matches there have beeu two additions to date this season —C. C. Dacrc (Auckland) and J. M'Mullan (Otago). At the end of last season Dacre required only nine runs to reach the 1000 mark, but in Auckland's first Shield match this season he failed to score. In the first innings of the present match with Canterbury, however, ho topped the thousand with a score of 19. M'Mullan, who batted twice only last season, was well short of the 1000 mark before entering upon this season's Shield matches, but with a scries of excellent scores in tho matches with Canterbury and Auckland, including a century at Auckland, lie has succeeded in completing his thousand. His score of 131 against Auckland is his best for Shield games. The figures for the two players are: — Inn. • N.O. H.S. Agg. Others who have gained a similar distinction in this season's Shield games to date are: A. Knight (Otago), whose aggregate is now 527, M. L. Pago (Canterbury) 663, R. Read (Canterbury) 548, and J. E. Mills (Auckland) 563.
