LOCAL HOLIDAY BOOKINGS SLIGHT GENERAL INCREASE Passenger bookings by rail during the recent holidays showed little difference from those recorded last year. Thorudon Station showed an increase of 2382 tickets, the Central Booking Office a decre o of 9, and Lambton Station a decrease of 34. It would seem as though railway bookings, after such travelinducers as the Dunedin Exhibition, had settled down to what is a fairly steady normal use of the trains .it the holiday season.
