Since the King was started I have saved up all the recipes which have appeared in the Ring, and I have quite a collection now. I don't -. think you have had Nougat Paste yet, have you? So here is a recipe for it. Jib almonds, Alb icing sugar, 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Blanch, shred, and brown almonds in a cool oven. Boil icing sugar and lemon juice a golden brown, add almonds, and boil up. Pour into a buttered dish; mark into squares. When cool enough divide and roll each in paper. MOLLY HEALY. Karori.
