The Prime Minister (Mr. Stanley Baldwin), addressing the annual Empir* Parliamentary gathering, announced that a delegation similar to that which visited Australia last year would b« visiting Canada in 1928. South Africa, which heretofore- had been lukewarm, was developing interest, and hoped, to send a delegation there also. Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald admitted that, although he had visited every Dominion before tbo war, ho was now out of date because the war had changed everything fundamentally and almost unconsciously. Formulas, were now impossible. The only bond with the Dominions now was that intangiblo spiritual thing—our common pride and our common inheritance. \ . Mr. Lan Maepherson said that/annual Imperial Conferences were impossible, and.he suggested the holding, of an- " nual Parliamentary Conferences representative of the whole Empire, and functioning in a similar manner to the Preparatory Committees at Geneva, between plenary Imperial Conferences.
