REGENT THEATRE.

Clara Bow will appear in her latest picture, "Rough-house Rosie" at the Regent Theatre today. The story concerns an East-side girl who is loved by a boxer, but who longs to be a "lady." As a means to entering society she forms a bright cabaret troupe, and becomes society's firm favourite. It does not take her long, however, to discover the shallowness of her adopted life. Great interest is centred on the arrival of the two operatic singers, Signor Übaldo Russo and Madame Lynda Bradford, who will present gems from their repertoire, commencing at the matinee-to-day. Signor Russo was baritone soloist with the Sistine Choir, while Madame Bradford, who had the distinction of appearing with Melba, is a contralto whose singing has won the favour of critics. Both artists have toured the world with splendid success, and their Wellington season is expected .to add further to their laurels. The supports include a Paramount news, Bray cartoon, and Jimmy Adams comedy. The orchestra, under the baton of Mr. M. T. Dlxon, will play, by request, as: an eutra'actc, "Doll Dance." The plan for the season is at the theatre and The Bristol.
