Three Sanders Cup selectors—Messrs. T E. Mellor (Evans Bay), G. Groves (Plimmerton), and K. Hollig (Heretaunga)— were appointed. The arrangement of courses and dates for the trials was left an their hands.
It was suggested that at least one of the trials should be sailed on the Heretaunga Club's course at Petone, the club's deelgates promising the selectors the lieeessary support. The secretary was instructed to call for nominations from all clubs of members capable of sailing in the trials. Another suggestion, made by the chairman, . was that the selectors should be guided by the prevailing weather in arranging the trials. Thus two races might be sailed in light weather, two. in heavy weather, and two under moderate conditions.
Official advice was received from the Canterbury "Association that the next Sanders Cup contest would be held at Stewart Island.
A Finance Committee, comprising delegates from all the affiliated clubs, was set ■up to organise a campaign for the collection o£ funds to send Wellington's Sanders Cup challenger to the contest.
