AUCKLAND TRIAL GAME
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. Auckland Rugby enthusiasts will be favoured with an All Black trial •match at Eden Park to-morrow. The team selected to play for Auckland and Northland will not fully represent the strength of both unions. Knight, who suffered an injury against Wellington, is not available. Lucas will also be an absentee. Certain restrictions with regard to the South African tour also debar some of Auckland's best players from participating in the match. In many quarters the result of the match is regarded as a foregone conclusion for Auckland-Northland, but such stalwarts as Messrs. J. W. Stead,' G-. Nicholson, and G. Gillett, have been coaching the combined Waikato Thames Valley, Bay of Plenty, and King Country team during the past few days. The northern team will be: Full-back, Butler; three-quarters, woods", Sheen, Hook; five-eighths, Cps Badeley, Berridge; half-back, M'Manus; forwards, Keene (rover), Hadley, Palmer, Mathias, Finlayson, M'Wilhams, Cathcart, Donaldson. *- The only Northlanders selected are Fmlaysonand Donaldson.
