YOUTH ADMITS CRIME

Thomas John Stanway, aged 19, pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court yesterday to a charge of converting a motor-car valued at £600 to his own use. Senior-Sergoant Edwards said that the owner of the car left it in Orakei road at 6.30 last evening. Later he j discovered it was missing, and, with a constable, went in search of it. When the car was found at Kohimarams, accused was sitting inside with a girl, and he admitted having taken it from Orakei road. Stanway was remanded to appear for sentence to-day.
