MAIZE GROWERS TO PROTEST

GISBOBNE, This Day. The maize growers are sending a deputation to "Wellington to protest against the reduction of the duty on maize, which it is claimed will bo a very serious matter in this district, as the farmers will be unablo to compete against South African maize.
