CYCLE ENGINE PROGRESS
The rapid progress of the 500 c.c. (3J h.p.) engine is demonstrated by a review of the one-hour record speeds since 1920. Then the fastest average speed for a 500 c.c. motor for one hour was only 67 m.p.h., while to-day it has increased to over 100 m.p.h., with every indication of a further early improvement.
