Further progress was made last evening in the small table billiards tournament at the showrooms of Billiards, Ltd M'Kay (80) defeated Tucker in a game of 370; Fossette, conceding 60, defeated Cockayne in a game of 2G5. Wrigley, conceding 70, defeated Grooves in a game of 230; Taylor, receiving 60, defeated Grabham in a game of. 220; Recce, conceding 85, defeated Kelleher in a game of 250. The best breaks were:—M'Kay, 20, 20, 24, 46, 21, 25, 41, 51, 23, 34; Tucker, 24, 30, 49, 69; Fossette, 50, 26, 28, 27, 35, 32; Cockayne, 26; Wrigtey, 24, 26, 27; Grabham, 27, 22; Taylor, 21, 33; Kelleher, 28; Nees, 25. -
The tournament will be continued on Monday at 7 p.m., when Fossette plays Wrigley, Taylor plays Reace, and M'Kay plays the winner of the Fossette-Wrigley match.
