A HAPPY THOUGHT.
Dear Fame!,—We have been busy lately preparing for the chicks and bees I wonder, if .any of the Fairy Ring havo ever thought' of a bird-table? Mamma has taught us to love birds and animals, so we like to care for them. We got a piece of wood and nailed it to a small post which we put in the ground. Every morning we put a piece of bread on the table. The other morning we had blackbirds, starlings, thrushes, sparrows, finches, and best of all, the pretty wax-eyes. It makes us happy to see them having such a fine breakfast. Perhaps some others would like to make one. a We will try and take a picture of it when the • birds are feeding. Love from ALAN AND,ERIC. Alan and Eric Spencer, Belmont. TWISTERS. Thomas sought thoroughly through some swaying thistles. She sat threading sticky thread through Sam's thick thigh boots. JACK HICKS. Brooklyn
