Unsettled, dull, misty^ and damp weather has been experienced,' rain having fallen inmost parts of.the Dominion, though at 9 >a.m. to-day improved conditions were in-evidence in the northew portion pf, the North Island. For the' previous twenty-four hours up till- S.'o 'clock- this .morning Wellington had .Win- of. rain to add'to its total for, th le' .month. ; Gore -Bay, Cheviot, ;reported having had 2.2sinin twenty-four hours. Snbw has also' fallen in some of the .high'co"un try in the South Island. The weather maps during the past two days have shown-an extreme complex distribution of pressure, with several shallow ''lows." - The indicatipns are still for unsettled, cloudy, and misty conditions, especially southwards of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, and for further rain generally. ;, Some heavy rain is likely in the east.coast of the South Island, and: snow in the high lands ; in the -south. Moderate to strong west to south-west winds are likely northwards of Farewell Spit 'and Kaikoura. Variable winds may be expected elsewhere with easterlies changing to southerlies again soon.
