LABOUR CEASES SUPPORT

; LONDON", 22nd August. Writing to the Free State newspapers, the labour leader, Mr. Johnson, announces that the liabour Party, has decided not to support Mr. de Valera for the Presidency. He adds that if it supported Mr. de Valera it would Nullify: Labour's attempt to bridge the gulf between the two. fiercely contending parties whose antagonisms have been so disastrous to;-the nation; Mr.v de Valera's only prospect: °ot attaining office, he adds, would be by getting the support of; other parties, or by securing a majority at the elections.
