HOSPITAL CHANGES
(To the Editor.) Siiy-1 trust you will allow me space in,your_ respected- paper, to state a case wteh has arisen, between myself and the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. Last year, from July, I was an inmate of the Hospital for six: weeks and while, there incurred expenses to the total o£ £33. Shortly after coming out I remitted 10s to the Hospital, but notwithstanding; this they placed my account in tiei hands of the Commercial Agency immediately. I am a working man, married living in a flat, and trying to save enough out of my weekly earnings to buy a house. I contracted to pay the agency IDs a month, which I have faithfully kept for nine payments, namely, nine months .Now, Sir, because I missed the payment at the beginning of August, I received on the 9th a sarcastic printed notice that unless I keep strictly to the concession they have made me, proceedings will be taken without further notice. I might state that •Sto-t notice tnere was also this sentence: With a view to assist you we agreed to accept payment by instalments, but the essence of such arrangement is punetual2ly- • i Now ' Sir» is tllis fair play and charity to the public, which they talk about?—l am, etc.,.
DISGUSTED.
