VOGEL'S VISION.

The manager of Vogel's Vision Gold Company at Cromwell reports on 6th August as follows:—"The gold won. for the week is 12oz 12dwt, making a total of. 350z 12dwt up to date. During the week the river has gradually fallen to within 6in of its lowest level this year. A change'has "set in, and I expect it to go up.a.little; but even if it does go up a foot or 18in., I expect to get gold until the dam opens. As set out in my Nlast report, we worked to the bottom of the boundary and finished there on Tuesday, the 2nd. We then shifted up 40 yards. After clearing away. considerable quantity of big boulders, we again struck gold and I fully expect this to continue some distance up the; river. It will be a bit harder to work, owing to big stones, but it will probably -be richer in gold." •
