HOCKEY TOURNEY
WELLINGTON WITHDRAWS

CHRISTCHUKCH, This Bay. At a meeting of the New Zeafand Hockey Association, the Wellington and Canterbury Associations wroto regretting that, on account of no playera being availablo, both the associations were compelled to withdraw their entries for the Shield Tournament.
The Canterbury Association offered to send a team to meet the winner of tho Auckland v. Waikato match, in September. It was decided to advise Auckland of the withdrawals.
