PROBATION OUT OF QUESTION

PALMEBSTON N., This Day. James Bodlo, a railway portor, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment on charges of theft. Tho Magistrato remarked that he could not consider the question of probation, as the accused was a Government servant in a position of trust, which ho had abused.
