The booking for tho Royal Wellington Choral Union's performance of Masciignl's opera.
"Cavallerla Kustlcana." to be given In tho Town Hall on Saturday evening next, is said to be heavy. There Is. perhaps, no more popular opera among the works of modern composers than "Cavallerla." Tho soloists engaged for this occasion are as follows:—Soprano. Miss Tresa M'Enroe: mezzo soprano, Mr*. Elinor Porter: contralto, Mrs. Wilfrid Andrews: tenor, Mr. Hubert Carter; and baritone. Mr. Len Barnes. A special foaturo will bo Mr. Hubert Carter's singing of the "Siciliana," an ardent serenado with harp accompaniment. The soloists above mentioned should enable the society, under the baton or Mr. n. T. White, to give a powerful and'dramatic rendering of this great opera. Tho final rehearsal will take place at tho Town Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening at 7.45. Two hundred two-shllllng tickets wl)l be oil salo at tho box office on Saturday. x
