FAIR DEMAND FOR TALLOW.
The Bank of New Zealand, Produce Department, has received the following advice from its London office, under date 27th inst.:—"Tallow: There is a fair demand. There will be no sales next week. Current quotations: Good mutton, 33s 6d to 34s per cwt; good beef and mixed, 335. to 33s 6d per cwt; gut, 26s to 30s per cwt." Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 27th July: "Tallow: 1480- casks oifered; 636 casks sold. Prices are unchanged to Cd per cwt lower."
