HOSPITAL PATIENT'S DEATH
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The committee of the North Canterbury Hospital Board reported to-day in the case of Mrs. M'Knight, who died from a fractured skull after being discharged, and ,then readmitted to hospital.
It was found that the house surgeon's records were by no means satisfactory, that there was a lack of careful investigation of the case by the honorary surgeon and the house surgeon, and a lack of observation by the sister in charge of the ward. The'fact that the patient was discharged did not contribute to her death.
