REMITS CONSIDERED
Tho report of the Produce Committee was considered by to-day's mnpt ing of the Farmers' Uriion. "That the Government be approached with a view to compelling New Zealand butchers to label as such all frozen meat offered by them for sale," was the nrst remit passed, the view being ex - pressed that the consumer should -h P protected.

That the method of elections and appointments of both meat and dairy boards be revised by Parliament so as to eliminate all commercial interests and that the Government be asked to provide legislation to divide the Do minion into districts so that the pro ducers themselves directly elect repre seniativea on the Meat Board were two remits, both of whichyivcre lost.
