HOCKEY TOURNEY
WELLINGTON'S ENTRY WITHDRAWN
• It was decided by the Wellington Hockey Association yesterday afternoon •to withdraw the Wellington entry in the shield tournament which has been arranged to commence at Auckland on Monday. I his decision is the result of the difheulty found in sending a suitable team away. Up to yesterday, five teams had been entered for the tournament, two from Auckland, and one each from Wellington, Waikuto, and Canterbury. As the rules of the tournament stipulate that it shall not take place unless throe entries other than those from Auckland are received Wellington s action may result in the cancellation of the tourney
