CHRISTCHURCH EGG MARKET.
Prices of eggs in-the Christchurch market are. downward. There was a fall last week, and it is expected that there will be a further drop this week, probably by 2d a dozen. The wholesale prices last week were 2s 3d a dozen for first-grade hen eggs, and 2s Id for second-grade. The supply is very plentiful, in spite of the incubating season starting. It is expected that there will be a steady increase in the supply for the next few weeks, and prices will probably reach their lowest level towards the end of next month, according to the "Lyttelton Times."
