THE LIGHTHOUSE CRUISE
BAD WEATHER THROUGHOUT
The Government steamer Tutanekai returned to Wellington' this morning after a seven weeks' trip around the east and north coasts of the North Island.
Bad Weather was experienced throughout the trip, and Captain J. Bollons reported more delay, owing to the state of the weather, than he had ever experienced before. This was especially so where landing work had to be done. The worst weather was encountered around Cape Maria, where several steamers were seen, sheltering. . The work of the cruise covered the usual comprehensive survey ,of lighthouses and buoysj and the time was fully occupied with repair ancl similar work. - ■ ......
